The Matusak Courageous Leadership Award

The Matusak Courageous Leadership Award seeks to recognize and honor leaders who go above and beyond in expressing leadership in a bold and courageous manner in the face of difficulty and social obstacles. The biannual award is presented by the Alliance of Leadership Fellows (ALF) and their significant partners. The nomination process will consist of a two-stage process, with Stage 1 being a general nomination process to gain a qualified pool of finalists, and Stage 2 consisting of finalist interviews by the Courageous Leadership Award Selection Committee.

Stage 1 nominations are due beofre July 31, 2024. The award is scheduled to be presented in conjunction with the International Leadership Association Gobal Conference taking place in Chicago in November, 2024.

SUPPORTING DOCUMENTATION – Please prepare a nomination narrative covering the three topics below using no more than 1000 words.

1) Provide a synopsis of the nominee’s courageous leadership contributions that exhibit his/her ability as an effective agent of change in promoting the common good in difficult times and situations.

2) What is/are the nominee’s most notable achievements as a courageous leader and/or follower?

3) How has this nominee served as a mentor, role model, or made any other significant contributions to community action and/or the field of practice of leadership?
